Two weeks of celebration, the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli, were brought to a fitting finale on the 10th of September 2011 through a great collective performance created by all the artists hosted by the festival. It was a worthy and well received offering to the island and to the enthusiastic audiences.A rousing show lasting over 100 minutes and involving over 50 artists from over a dozen countries, on and off stage, including live musical collaborations, aerial arts, acrobatics and object manipulation at high technical standards, with highly original stage sets, special effects and costumes, created lovingly for and during the festival, delighted audiences of all ages and brought this year’s edition to successful conclusion.
During the festival the already full program (which you can download here) was further enriched by several surprise special guests, amongst them Vivian Spiral from California, Ying of “Lennfei” from Thailand and Lata from “Temple of Dance” in Goa, India, who each added their sparkling spirit and graceful performances to the mix.An intimate late night musical performance earlier in the week featuring the transportive sounds of classical India sitar by Bert Cornelis and a world fusion collaboration with Norbi Pavel on hang drum was just one of the unexpected highlights which the integration of live music added to the festivities.
The Festa del Fuoco this year once again had the honor of presenting several world debuts, by some of the world’s finest fire performers.As in the past the family of the Festa del Fuoco is very happy and thankful to have the approval and support of the people and district of Stromboli, the clergy and local authorities and the many sponsors and volunteers who made all this possible.
Last but not least we thank all the wonderful artists and performers who dedicated their energy, talent, time and love to making the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli a unique festival celebrating the exhibition, experimentation and exchange of the fire and performance arts on the magical island of Stromboli, Europe’s most active volcano.
We are currently busy updating this website with the material generously shared by several photo and videographers documenting the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli, in new photo galleries and a promotional video, and of course planing and fundraising for next year’s edition of the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli, to be held from the 1st to the 15th September 2012 !

Dopo due settimane di celebrazioni, La Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli, edizione 2011, si è conclusa il 10 Settembre con un grande spettacolo collettivo realizzato da tutti gli artisti ospiti. E’ stata una degna conclusione alla presenza di un foltissimo pubblico entusiasta, e un giusto regalo per l’accogliente isola magica. Quasi due ore di spettacolo infuocato, con la presenza di oltre 50 artisti provenienti da 12 paesi, coadiuvati dalla splendida musica dal vivo (fondamentale l’apporto di Bert Cornelis al Sitar e di Norbi Pavel all’Hang Drum!), da straordinarie scenografie, e magnifici costumi, incantando l’eterogeneo pubblico, per età e provenienza, in un delirio di festa e gioia.
Il già nutrito programma, che potrete scaricare qui, è stato arricchito dalla presenza di artisti che, a sorpresa, hanno voluto contribuire a questa edizione della Festa del Fuoco, da non dimenticare Vivien Spiral dalla California, Ying dei “Lennfei” dalla Thailandia e Lata dei “Temple of Dance” da Goa in India, frizzanti contributi per arricchire una edizione 2011 già portentosa.
Un grazie di cuore da parte di tutto il team della Festa del Fuoco , va soprattutto alla popolazione e alla cìsrcoscrizione di Stromboli che ha accolto l’iniziativa con entusiasmo, e a tutti coloro, clero, autorità locali e i numerosi sponsor, che hanno, insieme alla folta schiera di volontari, reso possibile la realizzazione della festa.Infine un grazie particolare va agli artisti che col loro professionale contributo hanno reso unica questa edizione, contribuendo alla diffusione della conoscenza delle arti circensi del fuoco, e dell’immagine di Stromboli nel mondo.
Stiamo ora lavorando per aggiornare questo nostro sito con foto e filmati dell’edizione 2011, che andranno on line progressivamente, insieme alle informazioni sulla nuova edizione 2012, che si svolgerà, naturalmente a Stromboli, dal 1 al 15 di Settembre.
